Our netting solution provides an inexpensive and extremely flexible solution for worksites that have challenging fall protection, debris containment, or even access needs in Construction and Energy sectors.
HANSON provides a complete range of netting solutions, including personnel safety, tensioned access platform and debris containment netting that meets the International Standards.
Fall arrest netting designed to international standards is an ultra-lightweight, dynamic solution to protect plant, process and people. Where a secondary fall protection method is required, working at height operations are being completed, or work fronts at multiple elevations within the same load path occur, this system is often the solution. The fall arrest netting is used extensively for dropped object prevention for both large and micro level debris, and used these systems on vertical structures to facilitate multiple work fronts both on and offshore across multiple sectors.
For projects not requiring heavy lifting, heavy traffic or encapsulation these rated ultra-lightweight systems can be erected and dismantled at an unprecedented speed in areas where access would otherwise be limited to large scaffolding or decking systems. They are minimally affected by wind or water loading and cost a fraction of other access systems available.
Tensioned Access Platforms is a general term now used for what was previously referred to as Work Position Netting, Work Platform Nets, or Walk on Nets. This system has become recognized as a safe and alternative form of access over traditional solutions such as crash deck scaffolding for certain tasks and where MEWP access is unavailable. Systems meet the strict requirements of BS 5975:2008 Code of practice for temporary works procedures, designed to CAT 3 design level.
Tensioned Access Platform Netting (TAP Nets) are specifically designed and engineered for the individual requirements of a project, with stretch calculations taken into consideration. TAP nets are designed in such a way as to remove any sag at installation which helps reduce the deflection when in use.
Tensioned Access Platform Panels are manufactured to BS EN 1263-1 as traditional roof safety nets, however these nets are a higher specification of Class B 4.4kJ and are 45mm or 60mm mesh size. . Each individual system is risk assessed for the end user to ensure that if the intended works may damage the system further measures such as over sheeting may be specified to control the risks.
The general life expectancy of the system can range from 6-24 months but is subject to the amount of UV and mechanical wear the systems receive during their intended use. At all times the TAP systems are provided with an independent backup system for the end users to mitigate risk in a fall situation along with bespoke training and maintenance sessions for each installation.
We offer a revolutionary new approach to access with our alternatives to suspended scaffold. The system provides a stable platform for underdeck work areas for fabric maintenance in offshore oil & gas, under decks of jetties and bridges. The system offers the same stability as conventional and system suspended scaffolding with a quarter of the install/removal time. It delivers massive improvements in safety, logistics and operations. The Net provides a top quality tension netting system to provide walk on nets for lightweight work tasks. The Net is a minimum deflection tension netting system that can be engineered to deliver a safe and efficient lightweight suspended access platform. We can offer a turnkey service with full engineering and design for our under deck platform and tension netting systems. The results can be seen in the superior systems we can deliver to onshore and offshore projects.
